Paper: On the Efficiency of the γ-Ray Counter
OU1937-B3 (5 pages) Date: January 30, 1937
This paper, “On the Efficiency of the γ-Ray Counter, the Scientific Papers of the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research” (No. 686, Vol. 31, 187-194 (1937)), was co-authored by Yukawa and Shoichi Sakata.
In this paper, Yukawa theoretically evaluated the efficiency of the aluminum (Al) counter tube and lead (Pb) counter tube in a gamma ray counter, an essential tool in an experimental observation. Yukawa was constantly involved in experimental observations during his years at Osaka Imperial University.
