Postcard from Mitsuo Taketani to Shoichi Sakata

OU1937-A6 (2 pages) Date: September 26, 1937

This postcard was sent from Mitsuo Taketani residing in Shimogamo, Kyoto to Shoichi Sakata at Osaka Imperial University. The postcard said that the calculation of magnetic moment performed some days ago was slightly wrong and that the right calculation would make everything fall into the right places. At the top of the postcard Taketani wrote: “Please send my best regards to Dr. Yukawa!”. In closing, he wrote, “In Kyoto, I talked very Dialektisch (dialectically) during the discussion in Kyoto.” Interestingly, this statement suggests the close relationship between Taketani and Sakata.
