Note: Theory of the Light Particles
OU1936-C2 (12 pages) Date: April 9, 1936
Yukawa did not incorporate the idea of electromagnetic interaction into the electron-positron theory (which asserted that anti-electrons are positrons and anti-positrons are electrons) which he announced at the annual convention held on April 4. In this note, Yukawa incorporated the effect of electromagnetic interaction perturbatively and scrutinized the commutative relations and motion equations.
On page 1, Yukawa summarized the locations and settings of problems and then began calculations from page 2. This note shows Yukawa’s careful examination of the contribution of the positive energy state and negative energy state.
