Calculations on Exam Papers

Yukawa wrote the calculations on the front and back sides of exam answer sheets used by the School of Science, Osaka Imperial University. Those calculations were probably for the Chapter 7 in the paper, “Elementary Calculations on the Slowing Down of Neutrons by a Thin Plate” (Proc. Phys.-Math. Soc. Japan 18, 507-518 (1936). (See OU1936-B1, OU1936-B4 and OU1936-B6.)
The exam answer sheet measures 31 cm vertically and 22 cm horizontally. Yukawa used to write the calculations with large characters on these large sheets of paper.
