Yukawa Memorial, The University of Osaka was inaugurated in November 1953. At the time of the establishment, it was located in the former building ofThe University of Osaka Headquarter. On November 3, 1976, The University of Osaka President Tetsuo Wakatsuki reestablished Yukawa Memorial in the main building of The University of Osaka Library to pay respect to Yukawa’s achievements and to provide a place of profound thinking in fundamental science. The plate describing the background of the establishment of Yukawa Memorial is posted in Yukawa Memorial, The University of Osaka. Accompanied is the writing, “Founding and Development of The University of Osaka,” by Junjiro Kanamori.
